Occupational Requirement

  1. Please note that an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 applies to this role such that an applicant should be an Evangelical Christian. This is because the role will involve the planning and prayerful delivery of Evangelical Christian Youth Work. That will necessitate an extensive understanding of the teachings of the Bible to be able to deliver that work and to lead or assist in the delivery of mission.
In your role, you will be representing a Burton YFC view, making a Christian response and reflecting Christian values and lifestyle choices. You will be expected to sign, agree and adhere to our Burton YFC code of conduct.
  2. Due to the nature of youth work with male young people, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be male.
