Burton Youth for Christ has been involved within the many local communities of Burton on Trent since the very beginning. Our methods of working with young people have changed but our heart has remained the same. From using a bus to being in a community centre we want to provide good quality spaces and activities for young people.
Have a look at some of our ongoing community work or get in contact if you would like to see how we can work with you on a community event.
During the school holidays we understand that a lot of provisions for children and young people stop. We wanted to make sure that something carries on, so have started running Holiday activities for both those in Primary Schools and Secondary Schools.
See the links to see what is going on over the next holiday break.

Partnership with St Chads
Burton Youth for Christ have been working in partnership with St. Chad’s Church and Community Centre for several years.
During this time we have seen young people from the Eton area grow up through the children’s and youth work here, many of whom now stay on as young volunteers. We have positive relationships with parents and families and aim to be a supportive Christian presence benefiting the whole community.
Funding and volunteers
We currently receive no ongoing funding for our staffing time and so we are always looking for financial support. Horninglow and Eton Parish Council support some of the groups resources. Baron Davenport have supported us with funds towards a residential trip, and young leader training and Asda have supported us for food activities. Newstart shops have given monies towards a sports worker costs for the new academic year. We are thankful for the Community Centre who generously let us use their building during term time.
